ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಜಾಲ್ಸೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಒಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ವಿನೋಬನಗರ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾದ ಯುವಕ ತಂಡದ ಒಂದು ಗುಂಪು ಒಂದೆಡೆ ಸೇರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಕೂಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಶಿಶು ಮಂದಿರ ತೆರೆಯುವ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅದರಂತೆ 04-12-1987 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಂದು ಬಾಡಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಡದಲ್ಲಿ 17 ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಶಿಶುಮಂದಿರ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಅನಂತರ ಇದರ ಮುಂದುವರಿದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ 14-06-1993ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ 1 ರಿಂದ 7 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಗಳು ಆರಂಭವಾದವು. ಅನಂತರ 8 ನೇ ತರಗತಿ ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು 6 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದ ಸುಳ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ 1-6-2012 ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿ ಯುವ ಮುಂದಾಳು ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಧಾಕರ ಕಾಮತ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 2013-14 ರಲ್ಲಿ 9ನೇ ತರಗತಿ ಹಾಗೂ 2014-15 ರಲ್ಲಿ 10ನೇ ತರಗತಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ವರ್ಷ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯ 10 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ 27 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಥಮ ತಂಡ ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್‌ಎಲ್.ಸಿ. ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಶೇ.93 ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಬಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ದುಡ್ಡು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ನೈತಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮ ಭಾರತೀಯರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವುದೇ ಇದರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಆರಂಭವಾದ ನಂತರ ಈ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ.90 ಜನರು ಕುಡಿತ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಉತ್ತಮ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವರು ನೈತಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ನಮ್ಮ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಕಾರಂಜಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ 10 ನೆಯ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮಾದರಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಪಡೆದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೈಮರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಂಚುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ತಂಡ ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಮೂಡಬಿದ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಕಾರಂಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ತಂಡವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ ಅನುದಾನ ರಹಿತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಅನುದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಟಾಣಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಶಿಶು ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ 55 ಪುಟಾಣಿಗಳು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಾತಾಜಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಆಯಾ ನೇಮಕವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 1 ರಿಂದ 7 ರವರೆಗೆ 208 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 8, 9, 10 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 93 ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂತಹ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡಿ ಇದರ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಈ ನಾಗರಿಕ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಸಂಘ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಂದ ತನು-ಮನ-ಧನ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
Vinobanagara is a small Hamlet in Jalsoor village which is in sullia T.Q. Sullia Taluk comes under Dakshina kannada district. Here an young educated group met together and thought of starting a Shishu mandira for the welfare of the workers class. Here there are only two classes. One is a middle class & other is a labour class. The labours specially female workers will leave their children in the KG class in the morning and take away them in the evening. In this way a Shishumandira (KG) class started on 04-12-1987. This was running in a good way 8 in 14-06-1993. First standard primary school started this continued up to 7th standard students of this area have to go sullia 6k.m. away from here for their high school education.
Considering this Vivekananda English Medium high school started on 01-06-2012 under the able leadership of sudhakar kamath. 8th standard in 2012-13, 9th standard 2013-14 and 10th standard 2014-15. This year first batch of S.S.L.C students will take their S.S.L.C exam in this year. We are hoping to get 100% result. At present 93 Students are studying in high school out of that 27 students are taking S.S.L.C. examination.
Vivekananda institution is started mainly to impart cultural & traditional value among the students. After the starting of Vivekananda institution in this village 90% of the population is away from alcohol. The labours and middle class parents encourage their children to join our school & to take part in cultural activities.
Our high school students have bagged number of prizes in prathiba Karanji & science exhibition competitions. Our primary school students stands first in educational & cultural competition in our taluk. Our school is considered as one of the best high school & our primary school is also one of them. High school is purely un- aided & higher primary school is aided.

We the correspondent and members of the Vivekananda Educational Institution appeal to the public that we are running the above institution in vinobanagar jalsoor sullia D.K. our jalsoor is a small village where we can find only two classes . one is a middle class and other is a labour class. Now a days due to the increasing cost and poverty all the members of the house use to go for work and they can not give attention towards their children.
So, we started a shishumandhira (Day care Centre) to take care of those kids whose parents are labourers .It become a boon to them they use to leave the children in shishumandhira in the morning and will come at 4.30p.m. to take the children back home.
After that we started 1st Standard, 2nd Standard and up to 7th standard. for these poor children. Then our village people and parents put pressure on us to start an English Medium High School, So that their wards can get English Medium Education at lower cost.
Our School is giving 8th ,9th, 10th standard Education in English Medium at the cost of Rs.5000/- per year. Very poor students will get concession in this fees all so.
Apart from this we are training them in yakshagana Bharathanatyam, South Indian Music, and karate through trained teachers. We are giving at most importance to curricular activities.
So, we the correspondent, committee members request the public to donate generously to uplift the poor and middle class student to a better life.
