Vivekananda Law College, founded in 1988-89 at Puttur, was established to meet the growing demand for legal education in the southeastern regions of Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, and neighboring districts of Karnataka, as well as the Kannada-speaking Kasaragod area of Kerala. The college aims to provide accessible legal education, ensuring that even students from less fortunate backgrounds can benefit from this professional course.
