Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur (formerly Puttur Education Society) was established in 1915 and has since sponsored 71 educational institutions in both rural and urban areas. These institutions include primary and high schools, polytechnic, engineering college, pre-university college, degree college, and B.Ed college. Vivekananda College of Education, established in 2004, is one of the institutions sponsored by the Sangha, contributing to the region’s educational development.
